Landscape Tree Ideas

I have a ranch home and I wanted to plant some small trees or small to med. pine trees in a few spots but I don't know what would look good. I did the landscaping for my whole front yard, and now I want to do something on the side. However, I need some ideas. I can send you before and after pictures of what has been completed so far. Please help.
